Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada and provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector search), Child Abuse Registry Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Prior Contact Check
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience providing administrative and clerical support for a large office, including reception and phone duties, photocopying, filing (both electronic and paper), and managing a high-volume inbox
- The candidates should have experience managing large data files or databases with various stakeholders for trainings, tracking services, and handling sensitive documents, as well as performing multiple database functions including providing summary reports from a variety of databases
- The candidates should possess effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and establish priorities to meet deadlines
- The candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and with external contacts and excellent verbal communication skills
- The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, with experience formatting, editing, and proofreading documents with a high degree of accuracy
- The candidates should have experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel or similar software applications
- The candidates should demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and non-routine matters
- The candidates should have knowledge and understanding of Child and Family Services and knowledge and understanding of the Child and Family Services Information System (CFSIS)
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide administrative services in support of the functions of the General Child and Family Services Authority, specifically in the development and maintenance of tracking systems and databases and related follow-up activities
- The candidates should be able to provide timely and accurate administrative support to a team of Program Specialists, the Data Analytics and Evaluation team, and the Chief Financial Officer
