Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Nunavut are Inuktitut, English and French Language
Education:Â Candidates should hold a minimum Grade 10 education
Experience: Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in an office environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to use computer applications for data entry and retrieval, access information and procedures, and effectively edit various correspondence, documents, and reports
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have sound knowledge of routine practices and procedures and demonstrate excellent knowledge of proper business correspondence format, including the use of graphics, grammar, and spelling
- The candidates should have familiarity with policies, regulations, and statutes related to government agencies, Union or Management relations, and FOIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act)
- The candidates should possess a strong understanding of human relations skills and produce spreadsheets, utilize databases, and maintain inventory of office and canteen supplies and possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license for this position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide comprehensive project management, administrative, and secretarial support to the Warden’s office
- The candidates should be able to ensure smooth facilitation of clerical support and services to front-line and management staff
- The candidates should be able to prioritize and refer client issues, invoices, and other office processes to the appropriate administrative department
- The candidates should be able to effectively support supervisory and front-line staff, contributing to the efficient operation of the office
- The candidates should be able to work accurately and independently under minimal supervision in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
