Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of an accredited nursing education program
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in healthcare
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- The candidates should have current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and with recent experience in acute care and critical care within a hospital setting
- The candidates should have knowledge of AHS policies and procedures and previous managerial experience
- The candidates should hold a BScN and completed Leadership Managerial Courses

- The candidates should be able to manage staff assignments and patient flow effectively and provide frontline nursing care
- The candidates should be able to act as a role model, clinical resource, and advocate for nursing staff
- The candidates should be able to take a leadership role in promoting quality patient care and implementing operational priorities
- The candidates should be able to use their in-depth knowledge, advanced judgment, and clinical experience to provide solutions for complex healthcare issues at all levels
- The candidates should be able to collaborate with patients, interprofessional teams, administrators, and policy makers
- The candidates should be able to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care in alignment with the shared vision and values of AHS
