Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a collegial degree in civil engineering (Technician)
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of related experience in batching concrete and dispatching concrete mixer trucks

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a team and cope with pressure and good decision-making skills and the ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment
  • The candidates should be able to work independently, be responsible, and well-organized

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be good communicators with a keen sense of customer service and good analysis skills and the ability to anticipate problems and a good knowledge of computers
  • The candidates should have knowledge of construction materials and concrete and experience in diesel or industrial mechanics
  • The candidates should demonstrate business acumen, customer focus, drive for results, integrity and trust, interpersonal savvy, and process management skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to check the cleanliness of the site daily and ensure site safety and ensure that all employees, yardmen, drivers, mechanics, contractors, and other persons on the site are working safely, wearing PPE, and performing regular inspections to track task progress
  • The candidate should be able to perform a mechanical inspection of the plant daily, including visual inspections, detection of unusual noises, lubrication, vibration, and inspection of belts
  • The candidate should be able to check and measure the humidity level of raw materials (stone, sand) before the start of each shift and perform a visual inspection of the conditions and batch concrete and dispatch concrete mixer trucks to different work sites according to required specifications, ensuring compliance with concrete delivery
  • The candidate should be able to order raw materials based on placed orders or expected demand, and plan the schedules of drivers (concrete mixer trucks) and yardmen for deliveries and production and enter receipts of raw materials into the “Command Batch” system and track them according to reports produced by the system
  • The candidate should be able to produce end-of-day reports inventories, receipt and consumption of raw materials, product volumes, formulas and relay information to the next shift and conduct physical inventories (raw materials and other) with the director at the end of each month
  • The candidate should be able to take phone orders and promote Turbo and VAP products during COD orders and with clients and forward them to the invoicing department, including verifying receipts and wait times for superplasticizer
  • The candidate should be able to check starting and leaving times, lunch and other breaks of hourly employees according to the collective agreement, and prepare daily reports of deliveries made by the “Broker” trucks and maintain constant communication with the director, keeping them informed of any plant breakdowns, production, delivery problems, or health- and safety-related incidents
  • The candidate should be able to communicate regularly and daily with batchers, dispatchers of other plants to optimize the use of the fleet of concrete mixer trucks and personnel for current and future days and check cash sales and the use of concrete mixer trucks (Lafarge, Broker, internal and external leases) daily and track use with the director
  • The candidate should be able to plan raw materials orders and RMX deliveries and ensure the reception of raw materials in SAP and Command Batch and perform plant inspections and complete inventory reports and batch concrete according to mix designs
