Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of post-secondary qualification in business or administration
Experience: Candidates should have significant experience in an administrative position
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada
- The candidates should be fluently bilingual (verbal and written) in both English and French
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have have excellent oral communication skills in both English and French and strong written communication skills in English and intermediate written communication skills in French
- The candidates should have demonstrated experience in planning and project/workflow coordination, with attention to detail, organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines under tight timeframes
- The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with staff, clients, and suppliers using tact, respect, and customer service principles
- The candidates should have experience with budgeting, accounting, and financial management processes to monitor and manage the translation operating budget
- The candidates should have the ability to work autonomously, analyze politically sensitive and confidential matters, solve problems, and make complex operational decisions
- The candidates should be experienced and proficient in using the formatting features of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- The candidates should have strong knowledge of statutes, regulations, and government policies relating to services in French
- The candidates should have familiarity with the translation industry and experience working in a translation office
- The candidates should have experience with specialized workflow and computer-assisted translation software
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to coordinate and complete high-quality, cost-effective, and timely translations in both French and English for Shared Health, the four designated bilingual regional health authorities, and various bilingual healthcare agencies
- The candidates should be able to manage all translation requests, serving as the primary point of contact from reception through to delivery
- The candidates should be able to oversee all operations related to translation, ensuring smooth and efficient processing within the unit
