Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have a degree in Business, Management, Economics, Commerce, Planning, Engineering, or a related field
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in areas such as strategic and financial planning, project management, and business improvement
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and possess experience with facilitation, data analysis, business analysis, public policy, and a working knowledge of various analysis methodologies
- The candidates should demonstrate knowledge and experience in business analytics, performance metrics, and process improvement methodologies
- The candidates should have experience in management consulting, and Lean Black Belt certification and have experience working in a municipal environment or related field
- The candidates should possess intermediate knowledge of various digital tools, including Business Intelligence, GIS, Infrastructure Asset Management, databases, and MS Project
- The candidates should have experience with developing strategies and writing content and reports for senior leadership
- The candidates should have ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team setting, demonstrated problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, a strong customer focus, business and political acumen, and the ability to manage the implementation of business and strategic concepts
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to drive strategic initiatives, process improvements, and financial analysis within the Parks Infrastructure and Capital Infrastructure portfolios, encompassing both operational and capital functions
- The candidates should be able to gather and analyze data, develop policies, guidelines, strategies, and provide recommendations to optimize decision-making processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure effective resource allocation
- The candidates should be able to support strategic continuous improvement projects to streamline processes, reduce errors, and create efficiencies
- The candidates should be able to develop, implement, and monitor procedures and tools such as dashboards, SharePoint sites, and databases to support process improvement efforts
- The candidates should be able to research new technologies and assess how they can improve processes and reduce gaps within Capital Infrastructure or Parks Infrastructure teams and be able to conduct research and compile strategic planning inputs
- The candidates should be able to conduct data gathering, analysis, and generate recommendations or reports related to finance and funding topics, and implement identified recommendations to optimize financial management and funding allocation
- The candidates should be able to prepare summary reports and presentations for senior management and committees of Council
