Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children, school age (6 – 12 years), over 12 years, kindergarten age (4 – 5 years)

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and work overtime
• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks and perform repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should focus on clients, exhibit efficient interpersonal skills, and communicate excellently in oral communication
• The candidates should communicate excellently in written communication, show flexibility, and show initiative
• The candidates should demonstrate judgment, be organized, and demonstrate reliability
• The candidates should work as a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies and travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• The candidates should be able to wash, iron and press clothing and household linens and discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home and organize activities such as games and outings for children
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals and supervise and care for children
• The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments and tend to emotional well-being of children
• The candidates should be able to help children with homework
