Requirements

Language: English
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 5 years or more

Physical Requirements:

The candidate will be required to perform work that is physically demanding.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be required to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
The candidate will be required to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
The candidate will be required to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings and hardware.
The candidate will be required to measure materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
The candidate will be required to cut materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
The candidate will be required to shape materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
The candidate will be required to assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
The candidate will be required to build foundations.
The candidate will be required to install floor beams.
The candidate will be required to lay subflooring.
The candidate will be required to erect walls and roof systems.
The candidate will be required to perform construction works.
The candidate will be required to perform renovation works.
