Salary: $16.00 hourly 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register, Computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering system, Interac machine, Price scanner

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
• The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be accurate, and flexible
• The candidates should have excellent oral communication

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate cash register, process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments, scan items
• The candidates should be able to tabulate total payment for goods or services required, receive payment for goods or services
• The candidates should be able to calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales, stock shelves and clean counter area
• The candidates should be able to provide customer service, greet customers
• The candidates should be able to assist customers with self-checkout, calculate foreign currency exchange
• The candidates should be able to monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary
• The candidates should be able to verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products
