Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed Grade 12 or an equivalent education, including or supplemented by commercial courses
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of cashier, clerical, or receptionist experience in an office environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be flexible in their availability to work as needed for on-call shifts with short notice, including evenings and weekends
  • The candidates should have excellent customer service experience, which should be demonstrated through employment references
  • The candidates should have a working knowledge of computer applications related to the work performed
  • The candidates should have a minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
  • The candidates should have knowledge and experience with Xplor and POS systems, which is considered an asset for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide assistance and information to the public regarding recreation programs, events, schedules, rentals, and fees
  • The candidates should be able to process registration for all recreation programs
  • The candidates should be able to receive and process payments and reconcile records
  • The candidates should be able to deal effectively and courteously with the public
  • The candidates should be able to perform other duties as required
