Kinetic Machine Works Ltd. based in Selkirk, MB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of CNC (computer numerically controlled) machining centre operator. Kinetic Machine Works Ltd. was founded by Dale Place in 2000. The growth over the years has been incredible and now we are the largest and highly skilled machine shop with CNC and manual machines in Manitoba. Salary: $16.00 to $22.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Selkirk, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning
Work setting: Custom machine shop and manufacture
Work site environment: Candidates should work in noisy
Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Equipment: Single purpose production machine and automatic lathes

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work overtime, manually dexter and also pay attention to detail
  • The candidate should have hand-eye co-ordination

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be reliable
  • The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Broaching machine, Computer numerical control (CNC) machines, Drilling machine and also Milling machines
  • The candidate should have experience of repetitive machining operation like turning, milling, broaching and also drilling


  • The candidate should be able to read and interpret blueprints and also enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
  • The candidate should be able to operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations and also verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • The candidate should be able to clean and maintain work space
