Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Cuisine specialties: Sushi preparation techniques, Japanese cuisine and International

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, work overtime, work under pressure, pay attention to detail, perform repetitive tasks and also stand for extended periods
  • The candidate should be physically strong

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, work in a flexible environment, work in an organized way and also take initiative
  • The candidate should be dependable, reliable, someone who can judge and also a team player
  • The candidate should have an excellent oral communication

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods and also prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • The candidate should be able to plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, inspect kitchens and food service areas and also manage kitchen operations
  • The candidate should be able to train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food and also supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • The candidate should be able to clean kitchen and work areas
