Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding work while being attentive to detail and able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and be reliable while valuing ethics and honesty
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children while assisting early childhood educators in carrying out similar programs
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment, engage in storytelling, and encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, as well as prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to discuss the progress and problems of children at staff meetings while planning and maintaining an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
- The candidates should be able to plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
