Salary: $24.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset 
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Medical exam

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks comfortably
  • The candidates should have attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate values and ethics
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills and be reliable team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects their health, security, and well-being
  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and encourage their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe them for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
