Salary: $22.00 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and bend, crouch, and kneel
- The candidates should have manual dexterity and be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have good judgment, strong values and ethics, and be creative
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to engage in storytelling, assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs, and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, and engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, prepare and submit written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors, discuss the progress and problems of children at staff meetings, and attend staff meetings to address these issues
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
