Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Teacher training or certification
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1) and First Aid Certificate

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, maintain daycare equipment, perform storytelling, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts, guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and demonstrate food safety/handling skills
