Salary: $20.50 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, maintain daycare equipment, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children
