Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 hourly for 25 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Part time leading to full time, Term or contract employment
Location: Toronto, ON
Shifts: Day
Work setting: Urban area and private school

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure, in fast-paced environment and also pay attention to detail
  • The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, in a flexible environment, in an organized way and also take initiative
  • The candidate should be dependable and also a team player
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills, an excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal awareness and also values and ethics
  • The candidate should be able to take care of international students

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to assign and correct homework, evaluate the progress of students and discuss results with students, parents and school officials and also teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations and laboratory, shop and field studies
  • The candidate should be able to develop course content, prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum, prepare, administer and correct tests and also provide tutoring assistance
  • The candidate should be able to participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops
