Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Inuktut, English, or French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of completed high school with additional coursework in computer software and general administrative studies
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a secretarial and administrative position

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to the required education and experience if applying through an alternate combination
  • The candidates should be able to communicate effectively in any of Nunavut’s Official Languages: Inuktut, English, or French
  • The candidates should possess knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and Inuktut
  • The candidates should have experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment and fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist the Property Management Officer in coordinating the allocation of Staff Housing units to individuals
  • The candidates should be able to provide reporting and administrative support for the staff housing portfolio
  • The candidates should be able to record problems or complaints from tenants, landlords, or agents and collaborate with the Property Management Officer to find solutions
  • The candidates should be able to receive notifications from Local Housing Organizations (LHO) regarding unit orders, maintenance management, tenant allocations, and walkouts
  • The candidates should be able to ensure accurate tenant data and property inventories are maintaine
