Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be available to work flexible shift hours in different UPS facilities, up to five days per week
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have programming experience, including troubleshooting, and a basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation, encompassing basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting
- The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- The candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist in determining proper corrective action to be taken with damaged or worn equipment based on the history of breakdowns and discussions with the operations team to determine the most cost-effective solutions
- The candidates should be able to assist with dispatching BaSE Mechanics to complete necessary conveyor system repairs and Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs)
- The candidates should be able to monitor the status of repairs and PMI updates daily to ensure timely completion of work
- The candidates should be able to assist in conducting facility inspections and identifying operational improvements needed to promote efficiency of package flow and safety
- The candidates should be able to assist with overseeing the protection of physical assets, facility and equipment maintenance, and facility housekeeping
- The candidates should be able to assist with identifying and scheduling necessary repairs and preventative maintenance using BaSE mechanics and outside vendors to maintain the condition of the facility
- The candidates should be able to communicate assigned work status to colleagues to determine the potential impact on the department’s schedule
- The candidates should be able to assist with maintaining environmental compliance in accordance with UPS environmental programs (Storm Water, Clean Air, Hazardous Materials) to promote the environment and health and safety of UPS workers and the surrounding community
- The candidates should be able to deliver required regulatory training (Lockout Training/Hazmat Training) as directed to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel
