Indian Garden Farms, based in Hebbville, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Farm hand. We carry lots of local products such as free-range eggs, honey, maple syrup, frozen blueberries, and our own cranberries. In season we offer fresh picked strawberries, apples, squash, cucumbers, and peppers. The majority of the products we sell are grown right here on the farm, and when we need to bring something in we always try to source locally when possible. We hire foreign workers to fill labor or skill shortages on a temporary basis. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates must need 1 to less than 7 months of experience
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, Hot, Cold/refrigerated
Work Setting: Rural area
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

- The candidate should be able to pick row and orchard crops
- The candidate should be able to perform general farm duties
- The candidate should be able to perform general laboring duties
- The candidate should be able to load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
- The candidate should be able to clean the work area
