Okanagan Premium Produce Ltd. based in Oliver and Kelowna, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of General farm worker. Okanagan Premium Produce Ltd. has been operating since May 1935, and has been marketing fresh BC grown fruits and vegetables for more than 70 years. We grown fruits and vegetables were shipped by train and boat to locations all across Canada, through out the USA and as far away as Palestine, Manila and Hong Kong. Today our company continues its work from the Vernon office and warehouse, marketing local Field Crops, Fruit Crops, Greenhouse Crops, and Storage Crops. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.65 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: 1410 Fairview RD, Oliver, BC, V0H 1T5 and Kelowna, BC, V1X 6N9
Shifts: Flexible Hours
Work site environment: Candidates should work in fruit and vegetable combination farming, outdoors and dusty place
Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Spanish Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, under pressure, in fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, walk, stand for extended periods and also bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, fertilize and spray crops and also harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
