Supervision: Cook (general)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate attention to detail, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work overtime as required, perform physically demanding tasks, and complete repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and work under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client-focused, dependable, and flexible
- The candidates should take initiative, exercise good judgment, and be organized
- The candidates should be reliable and a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspect kitchens and food service areas, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- The candidates should be able to clean kitchen and work areas and manage kitchen operations
