Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have three to five years of experience operating heavy equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be prepared to work a rotation of 7 days on and 7 off or 14 days on and 14 days off (12-hour days)
  • The candidates should understand that although a work schedule will be assigned, it is not guaranteed, and work hours may vary with company
  • The candidates should be able to maintain high levels of performance for extended shifts and work independently as well as part of a team to achieve best-in-class efficiency and productivity
  • The candidates should be willing to work at the Magino Mine, approximately 88 kilometers northeast of Wawa, Ontario, Canada
  • The candidates should be self-motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have GED equivalent possess a valid driver’s license (G class) and and promote Health and Safety practices
  • The candidates should have knowledge of WHMIS, including familiarity with chemical products, use, disposal, and Safety Data Sheets applications
  • The candidates should have strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly
  • The candidates should be aware that Magino promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to safely operate a truck to meet daily plan and operation targets
  • The candidates should be able to communicate effectively using a 2-way radio system and maintain equipment integrity and complete job hazard analysis reports and equipment logbooks
  • The candidates should be able to always protect the safety and well-being of themselves and their co-workers by following all Company-specific safety protocols and Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
