Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register, Price scanner, Computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate, flexible, and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate cash register, process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments, scan items
- The candidates should be able to tabulate total payment for goods or services required, receive payment for goods or services
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and clean counter area, greet customers, wrap or place merchandise in bags
- The candidates should be able to weigh produce and bulk foods, provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment, when necessary, participate in promotional activities, verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
