Big White based in British Columbia is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Housekeeper. Big White Ski Resort is an award-winning ski resort. Our resort is British Columbia’s second largest resort village mountain and boasts the most ski-in, ski-out accommodation in Canada. We are situated on Big White Mountain in British Columbia Canada, 56km (35 miles) from the city of Kelowna. We are known as a well-known and great destination for all types of skiers and snowboarders, offering wide expansive terrain, light dry powder. In all, our ski resort is known as the skier’s paradise. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The summer season begins in June and ends in early September.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to be on your feet for long periods of time should also be comfortable with back, slip and fall issues
- The candidate should be able to use all cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, etc.), chemical use and be high reaching
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to pay great attention to detail
- The candidate should have good physical fitness also have great communication skills
- The candidate should be able to provide an exceptional customer service also be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to take care of cleaning and maintaining guest units while keeping up with standards set by the Housekeeping Supervisor also viewing all unit types and understanding the amenities in the building
- The candidate should be able to understand how everything operates in all guest rooms (fireplace, windows, etc.) also understand the mountain and Village layout and being able to give directions
- The candidate should be able to perform laundry duties
- The candidate should be able to stock and maintain housekeeping supply rooms also ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
- The candidate should be able to assist guests with all questions and reasonable requests also follow all health and safety protocols and procedures
- The candidate should be able to ensure accurate information is provided to all clients with respect to all Big White and Central Reservations products also assist with any other reasonable request made by a Central Reservations Manager
- The candidate should be responsible for servicing guest units in accordance with department procedures, including cleaning, replenishing supplies, exchanging towels and linens, and preparing units for the next guest’s arrival.
