Waypoint Insurance service was founded over 150 years ago on Vancouver Island when the BC Land & Insurance Group recorded it’s first transaction in the Comox Valley. Over the decades several small insurance groups were lead by a variety of owners , including Fred Bossom, Bent Harder, P.Anderton and Company and Hickey and Thwaites. Eventually, these insurance companies came together to be called Vancouver Island Insurancecentres. We are a proud partner of the Navacord group, a leading insurance and risk management brokerage firm dedicated to providing expert solutions to businesses across Canada. Location: Courtenay, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime and Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure, pay attention to detail and also maintain tight deadlines
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, in a flexible environment and also in an organized way
- The candidate should be reliable and also have efficient interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to establish client insurance coverage, calculate premiums and establish method of payment, provide information concerning group and individual insurance packages, the range of risk coverage, benefits paid and other policy features and also monitor insurance claims and respond to clients’ enquiries
- The candidate should be able to identify and assess potential institutional, business and individual client markets
