Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Appraisal, fabrication, gem and stone cutting, gem and stone setting, jewellery assembling, and repair

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours, maintain attention to detail, and demonstrate hand-eye coordination
• The candidates should be able to exhibit manual dexterity, and sit for extended periods

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be accurately

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to supervise other jewellers or watch repairers, and appraise gemstones and diamonds to identify rare specimens and detect peculiarities affecting stone values
• The candidates should be able to examine, cut, shape, and polish diamonds and precious and synthetic gems
• The candidates should be able to fabricate and repair precious and semi-precious metal jewellery, and set precious and semi-precious stones in jewellery mountings
