Salary: $27.80 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: 1507 Radisson DR SE, Calgary, AB, T2A 1Z6
Shifts: Day and Weekend
Work setting: Various locations
Security and safety: Driving record should checked (abstract)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have documentative knowledge of driver logbook
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption and also tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- The candidate should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs and also perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
