Elphege & Norbert Leblanc Ltd is a wholesaler of quality fresh and frozen seafood products. The wide variety of products consist of crab legs from Alaska to barramundi from Australia to salmon from Ireland. Our products are imported from all over the world. We purchases direct from the seafood source and sustainably whenever possible in order to maintain control over the quality and freshness of our product. Quality products and excellent service combined with the most competitive pricing have resulted us being a leader in the seafood industry in Canada. We are known to provide satisfaction to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting the best services from us. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shift: Day, Evening, Night, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning
Work Site Environment: Candidates should work in odours, cold or refrigerated and wet or damp place
Security and Safety: Bond needed

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates will be train

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be physically strong
  • The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment
  • The candidate should be someone who can be relied on
  • The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client
  • The candidate should be a team player
  • The candidate should have experience of fish cleaning and cutting machine, fish products machine and fish smoker and dehydrator

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to cut, clean and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing
  • The candidate should be able to scrape away scales, cut fish, separate fillets and remove scrap parts using knife
  • The candidate should be able to check products and packaging for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as required
  • The candidate should be able to record production information
  • The candidate should be able to set up and operate machines to can, bag, box or otherwise package fish and seafood products
  • The candidate should be able to set up and operate machines to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate or otherwise process fish or seafood products
