Salary: $17.50 to $21.75 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time

Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be capable of walking as part of their duties
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, possess efficient interpersonal skills, exercise good judgment, exhibit reliability, and be a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, and make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
  • The candidates should be able to supervise patients’ exercise routines, bathe, dress, and groom patients, and answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
  • The candidates should be able to administer first aid in emergency situations
