Tourism Whistler based in Whistler, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Operations and Visitor Services Assistant – Summer Jobs Program (2023). Job Description:

Salary: Salary is not mentioned, $700.00 weekly 37.5 hours per week, salary estimated by Canadian Job Bank.
Employment Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Summer Contract

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as post-secondary education or equivalent related experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate must be able work in a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, which aims to provide flexible and holistic services to help all young Canadians develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labor market
  • The candidate should be of age of up to 30 years
  • The candidate should be a Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada
  • The candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and also have strong customer service focus, interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • The candidate should have technical aptitude with proven computer skills and have the ability to complete administrative tasks in a timely matter, with a high degree of accuracy
  • The candidate should have passion for our outdoor activities and lifestyle


  • The candidate should be able to work as member of the Whistler.com & Visitor Services teams and provide administrative support to both departments, and excellent guest service to our visitors
  • The candidate should be able to act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
  • The candidate should be able to complete data entry of reservation details (P2P Tickets, Activities, Golf, etc.) and also review booking funnel customer reviews and feedback
  • The candidate should be able to perform ongoing web audits to improve copy, packaging and equity of offers, ensure online functionality is working as expected and also support the Sales Operations team with ongoing projects as needed
  • The candidate should be able to work with being connected with guests in person, in Whistler village, to tell them about our Ask Whistler live chat service and also provide guests with resort information in person, or virtually via the Ask Whistler live chat service
  • The candidate should be able to support the Visitor Centre as needed to provide superior customer service to guests in the Visitor Centre and also support with other Visitor Services projects as needed
