Salary: $17.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Richmond Hill, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Transportation information: Willing to travel, and Travel expenses paid by employer.
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Work in employer’s/client’s home, and Employer’s home.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Reference required

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed
The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

The candidates should prioritize punctuality and exhibit dependability in their work
The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent oral communication
The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and show initiative in their tasks

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care to residents or patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, adhering to safety protocols and dosage instructions
The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise activities, such as walking, to promote mobility and physical health, launder clothing and household linens, ensuring they are clean and fresh for use, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the environment
The candidates should be able to plan therapeutic diets and menus in accordance with dietary requirements and restrictions, provide companionship to residents or patients, engaging in conversation and social activities as appropriate, and provide personal care, including assistance with grooming, bathing, and toileting
The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies, ensuring that necessary items are available for residents or patients, prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary needs and preferences, and wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, maintaining their cleanliness and appearance
