Salary: $14.25 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Term or contract employment
Location: Cote-Saint-Luc, QC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Overtime, Flexible Hours and Morning
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, urban area and work in employer’s/client’s home
Work site environment: Candidates should work in non-smoking area
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry should checked, criminal record should checked, drug test required, medical exam required and reference is required
Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available
Weight handling: Between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure, work overtime, handle heavy loads, perform repetitive tasks, walk, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, in a flexible environment, in an organized way and also take initiative
- The candidate should be someone who can judge, punctual, dependable, reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills and also an excellent oral communication
- The candidate should be able to take care of persons with physical disabilities
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, provide companionship and also shop for food and household supplies
- The candidate should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, provide personal care and also prepare and serve nutritious meals
