Shoppers Drug Mart is largest pharmacy chain, operating over 1,300 stores nationwide. It provides prescription medications, health and wellness products, and everyday essentials. Functioning through pharmacist-owned franchises, it integrates with Loblaw’s retail network and runs the PC Optimum loyalty program. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should ensure all health and safety procedures are followed to provide a healthy and safe work environment and complete mandatory training and voluntary continuing education workshop
- The candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example, and support enterprise programs
- The candidates should be able to make independent decisions when dealing with issues or problems, plan, coordinate, and delegate assignments while providing coaching to pharmacy colleagues

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy, practice within federal and provincial regulatory and legal requirements
- The candidates should be able to ensure all privacy requirements are met, including customer confidentiality and consent management
- The candidates should be able to provide counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter/behind-the-counter products
- The candidates should be able to practice to the full extent of their expanded scope with professional services, within their capability
- The candidates should be able to be clearly identifiable to the public, ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed
- The candidates should be able to communicate with other health care professionals within the circle of care to provide customer care, maintain all records required in accordance with legislation, standards of practice, and policy
- The candidates should be able to control access to the dispensary with respect to inventory and patient confidentiality, review and maintain workflow queues on a daily basis
- The candidates should be able to conduct regular reviews of ‘will call’ bins in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures, review stock to identify expired inventory
- The candidates should be able to oversee current stock levels and medication orders from the wholesaler, ensure all requirements for documentation and control of substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Regulations are met, including reporting to Health Canada and regulatory bodies
