Location: 157 Yonge Street Toronto, ON M5C 1X7
Shifts: Day, Flexible Hours, 08:00 to 16:00
Work setting: Urban area and Ambulatory care centre

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided 
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Credentials: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Eligible for professional liability insurance

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to examine patients, take their histories, and order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
• The candidates should be able to consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health and coordinate or manage primary patient care
• The candidates should be able to prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculate and vaccinate patients, and provide acute care management
• The candidates should be able to communicate health promotion, disease, illness, and accident prevention to patients, perform a patient advocacy role, and provide counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
• The candidates should be able to provide emergency care
