Both Custom Works are known to do farming with advanced techniques, taking an innovative approach to building a sustainable future. We are developing our farming techniques day by day. We are known to produce and supply quality organic products without any preservatives. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.65 to $17.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: RR 2/NE-23-44-26-W4 Ponoka, AB T4J 1R2
Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Shift, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Work Site Environment: Broiler and other meat-type chicken production, Chicken farming, Noisy, Odours
Work Setting: Staff accommodation available, Rural area
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Farm truck
Automated Systems Experience: Manure handling and storage

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to do repetitive tasks
  • The candidate should be able to do physically demanding
  • The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidate should be able to do walking
  • The candidate should be able to do bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

The candidate should be a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to feed inventory
  • The candidate should be able to handle animals
  • The candidate should be able to do monitoring animal health
  • The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • The candidate should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens
  • The candidate should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
  • The candidate should be able to set and monitor water lines, airflow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
