Salary: $18.00 per hour for 32 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: To be determined
Work Site Environment: Cold/refrigerated
Work Setting: Relocation costs covered by employer, Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, training will be provided
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks and work with manual dexterity
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work for overtime hours
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of bending, crouching, kneeling and standing for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills and work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be someone who can be relied on and be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials also measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- The candidate should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers also check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- The candidate should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties also clean machines and immediate work areas
