Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed an accredited nursing education program
Experience: Candidates should have two years of experience in the last five years in Home Care

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be eligible for reimbursement for one (1) round trip per calendar year to any destination within Alberta, originating from a community above the 57th parallel, with travel not carried over year to year
  • The candidates should be comfortable with rural driving in all seasons, perform duties including comprehensive assessment, case management, and intervention
  • The candidates should be prepared for physical demands that may involve lifting, climbing stairs, outdoor walking, and visiting clients in less-than-ideal conditions

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be active or eligible for registration and a practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA), hold current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • The candidates should be aware that permanent and temporary employees working in excess of one (1) year at sites above the 57th parallel are eligible to receive an annual reimbursement of personal travel expenses up to a maximum of $1,235, experience in wound care and Connect Care

  • The candidates should be able to play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance
  • The candidates should be able to provide safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care that reflects the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services (AHS)
