Rope access technician (RAT)

Aurora High Altitude Maintenance Ltd. based in Surrey, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Rope access technician (RAT). Aurora High Altitude Maintenance Ltd. started high rise professional window cleaning in Toronto in 2005. The most competitive market in Canada was a great place for us to learn how to work in the most efficient ways possible. Our mission is to be the best contractor that customers have ever worked with. We provide our workers with regular refresher rope access training in our facility to constantly improve our skills and knowledge in window cleaning and rope access, and make sure we are ready for whatever the day may bring. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $30.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: 7261 196 Street, Surrey, BC, V4N 3E8
Shifts: Day and Morning
Work setting: Urban area and various locations
Work site environment: Candidates should work at heights, confined spaces, dusty, hot, outdoors and wet/damp
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have hard hat and steel-toed safety boots

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Certification and Occupational Health and Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, pay attention to detail, handle heavy loads, manually dexter, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
  • The candidate should be physically strong, a combination of sitting, standing, walking and also hand-eye co-ordination

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in an organized way
  • The candidate should be a team player and also have accuracy
  • The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like hand tools
  • The candidate should have cleaning experience of windows
  • The candidate should have specialization small arms repairer

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to perform other routine maintenance
  • The candidate should be able to wash and clean interior and exterior windows and other glass surfaces
