Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a vehicle with a minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a satisfactory safe driving record and valid permanent provincial driver’s license
  • The candidates should have a vehicle with automatic transmission and a vehicle with power windows
  • The candidates should have a vehicle with a metal roof-top and accessory power outlet to accommodate a Canada Post sign and flashing light
  • The candidates should have a vehicle where the middle of the passenger window sill is between 38” and 45” from the ground and with a maximum interior width of 56”
  • The candidates should preferably have a vehicle with a fifth door or hatchback to allow for oversized and bulky items to be loaded
  • The candidates should provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance for the use of their vehicle
  • The candidates should notify their insurance company as to the use of their vehicle while employed at Canada Post
  • The candidates should have experience in making deliveries and operating a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to project a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face to face
  • The candidates should be able to adept at sorting, collecting, and delivering mail items in a safe and timely manner
  • The candidates should be able to acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
  • The candidates should be able to ensure that mail is safely secured in their possession
  • The candidates should be able to process various CPC products and services, such as Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, and Items Delivered Bill (IDB)
  • The candidates should be able to wear Canada Post identification while on delivery and ensure its visibility while delivering and collecting mail from customers
  • The candidates should be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lb or 22.7 kg
