Salary: $26.00 hourly for 30 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: West St. Paul, MB & Winnipeg, MB
Transportation information: Driver’s abstract and Valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles and buses with fewer than 24 passengers)
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check and Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors
• The candidates should possess good hand-eye coordination
• The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve sitting

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate good judgment in decision-making
• The candidates should be organized in their tasks and be reliable in their responsibilities

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers
• The candidates should be able to direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures
• The candidates should be able to complete logbooks and reports
• The candidates should be able to ensure children’s safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing streets while the bus is stopped
• The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
