Requirements:

Experience: Candidates should have experience in building analytical frameworks to provide insights and analytics for complex issues
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to develop effective relationships both internally and externally, with staff at all levels, including senior leaders and external organizations
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have along with relevant experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent
- The candidates should have extensive experience in providing data insights, data analytics, and financial modeling and extensive experience in conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and rolling out business intelligence reports
- The candidates should have experience in developing impactful, measurable, and relevant targets, benchmarks, and outcomes to monitor and report on organizational progress towards corporate and business plans, priorities, and objectives and a working knowledge in data manipulation, data analytics, business intelligence, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics tools Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, R, Python
- The candidates should have a working knowledge and experience with spatial analytics tool, extensive knowledge of and experience with public sector organizations or transit agencies, be enrolled in or possess a recognized accounting designation CPA and demonstrated work experience with SAP
- The candidates should have expert knowledge in MS Excel, Excel VBA, SQL, PowerPoint, and Word and strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to discover interconnectivities between various sources of data and observations
- The candidates should be able to design and implement ridership and revenue forecasting and measurement methods, tools, training, and dashboards, particularly for transit or similar organizations and knowledge of concpts such as data segmentation, data clustering, and advanced analytics techniques
- The candidates should have proven, excellent written and verbal communication skills, including delivering presentations with complex technical information to senior management
- The candidates should be able to manage competing priorities and demands in a rapidly changing environment and rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders, including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to estimate, forecast, budget, report, and analyze TTC’s revenue ridership to support strategic and operational decision-making
- The candidates should be able to support other Groups and Departments in evaluating proposed changes to fares, fare policies, and revenue-impacting strategies
- The candidates should be able to conduct advanced data and financial analysis, including data mining, data visualization, and developing reports and presentations for senior management
- The candidates should be able to study passenger behaviors and develop segmentation models based on spatial and temporal usage patterns to forecast revenue ridership
- The candidates should be able to incorporate economic indicators, demographic information, public policy, and other related statistics into the forecasting and budgeting process
- The candidates should be able to build, streamline, and automate ridership reports to provide insights on revenue performance to senior management and prepare financial summaries for TTC Board Reports, identifying current and future revenue impacts and reviewing summaries with senior management
- The candidates should be able to maintain and support data repositories of revenue ridership statistics and provide analytics expertise across the organization
- The candidates should be able to support the implementation and enhancement of technology platforms and fare collection systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- The candidates should be able to participate in internal and external working groups and industry knowledge-sharing sessions and act as the Finance/TTC representative on various internal/external working groups and task forces
