The Westin Calgary Airport based in Calgary, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Server – food and beverage services. The Westin Calgary Airport offers a variety of amenities to make our customer’s stay within our hotel as comfortable as possible. With our team of professional cooks and most hospitable waiting staff, we aim at serving delicious and wholesome food in elegantly inviting atmosphere that will keep bringing our customers back to us. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be client focus, flexible, initiative, reliable, should have efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers cheques or room billings
• The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, advise on menu selections
• The candidates should be able to balance cash and record sales, clear and clean tables, trays and chairs, describe and advise on wine selection
• The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages, serve food and beverages
• The candidates should be able to take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff, provide customer service
