Harry Morse Farm based in Berwick, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Strawberries Picker . Harry Morse Farm is a family-owned farm. We are working on our farm to produce various organic fruits and vegetables. We produce products such as peaches, nectarines, plums, pears, wine grapes, seedless grapes and asparagus in Berwick and all over Canada. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Work Site Environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming, Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, Hot
Work Setting: Rural area
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s license, Own transportation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of Crops: Strawberries
Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks and work with manual dexterity
- The candidate should be able to work with hand-eye coordination and have the ability to distinguish between colors
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of bending, crouching and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills and work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be someone who can be relied on and be a team player
- The candidate should be able to work with values and ethics
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Cleaning crop, Grading, Hand harvesting vegetables and Hoeing crops
- The candidate should be able to pick row and orchard crops also clean work area
- The candidate should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables
