Salary: $45,000 to $50,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Peterborough, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, On Call, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Cleaning
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and handle physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling, and handle weight
  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be dependable, show initiative, and possess good judgment
  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be organized
  • The candidates should be reliable

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • The candidates should be able to advertise vacancies, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, and perform safety and security checks
  • The candidates should be able to show apartments and offices to prospective tenants, move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • The candidates should be able to clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, and work with minimal supervision
