Support Worker Summer-Position

Accredited Supports to the Community (ASC) based in Olds, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Support-Worker_Summer-Position. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to full time or temporary employment. The candidates have to work on a Flexible schedule with hours during the day, evenings, and weekends.

Job Description:

Salary: $16.00 to $16.75 per hour for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time-Summer Jobs
Location: Didsbury and Olds, AB.
Shifts: Flexible schedule with hours during the day, evenings, and weekends

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language and linguistic knowledge
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under the immediate direction and guidance of experienced staff supporting people with a spectrum of developmental disabilities in a residential setting
  • The candidate should be able to and willing to take direction
  • The candidate should have strong in interpersonal and communication skills
  • The candidate should be committed to an appointed schedule developed on a month-by-month basis
  • The candidate should be able to work independently and seek guidance from team members
  • The candidate should be energetic and enthusiastic with creative activities and community outings
  • The candidate should be willing to assist with cleaning, cooking, daily task lists, and errands
  • The candidate should be able to provide one-on-one support and/or participation in an activity
  • The candidate must require a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
    The candidate should be 18 years of age or older
