Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of Journeyperson trade certification
Experience: Candidates should have a combination of over 5 to 6 years of work experience in the Mechanical Department
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, offers steady day shifts and available for 11.5-hour shifts
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a supervisor
- The candidates should possess good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all activities related to maintenance and and supervise daily activities of on-site Contractors and provide assistance to Senior Supervisor or Superintendent in the hiring of maintenance employees
- The candidates should be able to answer queries and handle requests related to maintenance (mechanical), including problem-solving and judgment and prepare reports and complete documentation related to maintenance and maximize equipment availability
- The candidates should be able to comply with established methodologies and quality standards related to maintenance (mechanical) while recommending new or alternate approaches
- The candidates should be able to monitor, analyze, and implement changes to ensure maintenance is preventative, predictive, and proactive and monitor and report on the achievement of targets and revise strategies
- The candidates should be able to utilize Maintenance and Supply Chain Best Practices in conjunction with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders, purchase requisitions, weekly schedules, PM’s, and updating the equipment database
- The candidates should be able to provide employees with clear work objectives and expectations of the performance levels and conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports and complete all time entry, vacation requests, and scheduling and and maintain a high-performance culture and promote health and safety at work and conduct accident and incident investigations and provide leadership to the team
- The candidates should be able to prepare and animate monthly team meetings reinforcing HSS standards and assist in weekly planning meetings and carry out workplace inspections using work cards and analyze accidents and broken equipment to find solutions and avoid repeating the event
- The candidates should be able to review all work orders, confirm that all the required information has been added, and that it is accurate before returning it to the planning department and prepare production and other reports
