Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently, and be prepared for physically demanding work
- The candidates should be attentive to detail, be able to work in dusty conditions, and be capable of working in hot environments
- The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy surroundings
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be focused on providing excellent client service, have efficient interpersonal skills, and be strong team players
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, and operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- The candidates should be able to fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal and determine weldability of materials
- The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment, operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, and operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal
- The candidates should be able to start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production line and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
