Sunshine Village, based in Banff, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Winter 2022-23-Dishwasher. Sunshine Village can be termed as the premier ski resort in Western Canada. Our park is known for making our guests’ ski experience unforgettable and think of the winter skiing season. We are also known for riding on the best powder in the Rockies would be great too. In all, we are known to work and play in Canada’s most beautiful playground. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need 1-2 years’ experience in a food service establishment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should have passion for providing outstanding guest service
  • The candidate should be a self-motivator with a positive attitude
  • The candidate should have the ability to perform manual labor, heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
  • The candidate should have an excellent time management and teamwork skills
  • The candidate having safety and WHMIS training is an asset.
  • The candidate should have knowledge of basic safety requirements and food handling safety standards
  • The candidate should have strong organizational skills
  • The candidate should have the ability to lift (10 kg), pull and push heavy loads and be exposed to extreme temperatures


  • The candidate should be able to provide an outstanding experience for our guests by ensuring a sanitary and safe environment in our kitchens. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment, dishes, pots, floors, and other kitchen surfaces as required.
  • The candidate should be able to follow policies and standards of Marek Inc. as well as adhere to workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations
  • The candidate should be able to conduct daily inspections of work areas and keep all work areas clean and sanitary
  • The candidate should be able to fill in logs to ensure proper chemical levels with the equipment
  • The candidate should be able to load, operate and empty dishwasher, and put dishes away
  • The candidate should be able to maintain food handling and sanitation standards; understand and implement Marek Inc.’s Health & Safety Standards
  • The candidate should be able to clean the fridge, freezer and other kitchen equipment as directed by the Chef Manager or Sous Chef
  • The candidate should be able to maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
  • The candidate should be able to help with daily Prep and line set up
  • The candidate should be supporting as needed within our line
  • The candidate should be able to perform daily cleaning of the screens and weekly full empty of the grease trap to help maintain the equipment
  • The candidate should be able to understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
